Kenneth Graham, M.D.
Dr. Graham specializes in the latest techniques for the treatment of Macular Puckers, Diabetic Retinopathy, Macular Holes, Retinal Detachments, Retinal Vascular Disorders, and Cataract Surgical Complications.
He employs the full spectrum for retinal care including Fluorescein Angiography, Indocyanine Green Angiography, Laser treatment, Pneumatic Retinopexy, and Photodynamic Therapy. Having worked at Harvard Medical School with Evangelos Gragoudas, MD and Joan Miller, MD, the inventors of photodynamic therapy (PDT), Dr. Graham has extensive experience in the treatment of Age Related Macular Degeneration.
Dr. Graham graduated from the University of Alabama summa cum laude with a Bachelor's degree of Honors in Microbiology and in the Arts and Science Honors Program. He was given a full scholarship at the University of Alabama School of Medicine and was awarded a research scholarship by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute to conduct research at the National Institutes of Health.
Following his medical school education, he completed a medical internship at the Mayo Clinic and an ophthalmology residency at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. His fellowship training in diseases of the retina and vitreous was also completed at Harvard, where he served as Chief Fellow during his final year.
While working at Harvard Medical School on the development of Photodynamic Therapy, Dr. Graham was awarded both the Heed Foundation and Herman Knapp Scholarships. Dr. Graham was in private practice for two years in Baltimore where he served as instructor of Ophthalmology for Wilmer Eye Institute/ Johns Hopkins Medical School.
Dr. Graham is an active member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, American Medical Association, Medical Society of the State of New York, Long Island Ophthalmological Society and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is past president of the Suffolk County Ophthalmogical Society.
